On Saturday 17th March 2012, Northampton Interfaith Forum (NIFF) hosted a Multi-Faith Day at the Guildhall in Northampton’s town centre. The main aim of the day was for faith communities to come and showcase their respective beliefs and culture. The idea being to raise awareness off and strengthen ties between the different groups.
The event was well attended, including by dignitaries such as His Worshipful, the Mayor of Northampton as well as local councillors. Thanks to various volunteers from IHWO, a colourful and informative display was presented on the Hindu faith, which generated keen interest. Attendees were also updated on the Northampton Kutumbh Centre, before being offered a delicious array of Indian cuisine.
